In our opinion, 21st century will be remembered as the brain century. One of the most important reasons for this matter is the treatment of the neuropsychiatric diseases are not satisfactorily accomplished. Because of that, parallel to the acceleration of the brain research, we believe in 21st century, there will be huge amount of discoveries in neuropsychiatry. For instance, within upcoming 70-80 years, it is possible to find new and effective treatments for the diseases with no absolute treatments such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer and Autism. Researches that will bring forth these new treatments by both country’s scientists will have scientific and economic contributions to Turkey and USA. Therefore, strengthen our collaboration in the neurology-psychiatry fields in which major discoveries within upcoming years will take place is important for our country to accomplish its strategic target especially to decrease its external dependence.
